The Mega Flea Market in EXPO review
The Mega Flea Market was the talk of the town in the last 2 months leading to the event as various media such as Lianhe Zao Bao and 938 LIVE did coverages for us. On top of that, advertisements were also done on The New Paper and The Straits Times.
With all the successful pre-event hype, we have as many as 10,000 enthusiastic shoppers coming in search of "treasures"! We are also proud to annouce many positive feedbacks from both consumers and vendors.
Feedbacks such as good crowd, cooling environment(air-conditioned and indoor) and good sales were mentioned!
As the organiser of this mega flea market, it is heartening to see many of our vendors racking up huge profits in the 3 days with us. Most even enquire when is the next Mega Flea Market coming up as they would like to take up stalls with us already!
Bottomline, we value all our vendors as much as the consumers that come. More innovative and refreshing ideas would be used in the next Mega Flea Market. So... keep a lookout for it!
T.Cartel’s seminar on Entrepreneurship WHY review
(17 September 2009)

Once again this session has been very impactful and insightful for the audiences. Nicholas, the guest speaker shared with us the concept of "Disruptive Innovation and Technology". It's basically a way of doing business whereby small time entrepreneurs can
have a chance to compete with the "big boys" in the market. He taught us many things we need to know in the business realm from startup to sustaining a business. Providing several of his past events such as beauty pageant and selling online
magazine as examples.
Tommy Wang Changli the mediacorp artiste also came down to grace the event. Though he did not share much during the seminar, he did however give insights and business advice to individuals who have went up to him during the networking session.
With his connections, some of the audiences even wanted him to groom them into the next superstar! But well... being a passionate and helpful person, don't be surprise if some of them do make it into Mediacorp. =)
Lawrence on the other hand, is very experience in the property and engineering material sector. Many went up to him during networking session trying to source out opportunities in the property and tourism sector! Being the developer of hotel81,
Lawrence indeed has many to share to young entrepreneurs who wants to penetrate in the hotel industry. With his guidance, it'll not be long before people learning from him become successful!
The whole session was supposed to end at 10pm latest. But almost all the audiences did not want to leave because all of them just have so much to ask our guest speakers. With all guest speakers so willing to share their expertise as usual, it is
no wonder people become so unwilling to leave; with some even asked me to organise a followup seminar cum networking session. At 11.15pm, the session for Entrepreneurship WHY ended with everyone in high spirits. Some of the comments I received
are:
Entrepreneurs’ Networking Session!

The Entrepreneurs’ Networking Session with Actor Tommy Wong and Nicholas was great! Not only have we learnt from their experiences, we also have got the chance to source out some business opportunities. Tommy is not only successful, he is very warm-hearted too! (as you can see from the picture)
The session started at 2.30pm and should have ended by 4pm sharp. But however, all the guests are so keen to learn from Tommy, we ended up leaving the place at about 8pm… That’s the impact of a charismatic and successful speaker cum business builder!
What’s more, the food is sponsored(it’s Pizza btw) and entry is Free…
In future, more actors and actresses (from mediacorp) who are business owners themselves would be invited to come for our networking sessions, therefore... do keep a constant check on this website for any updates!
See you all soon!
Our recent bazaar event @ Kebun Baru!

This is our first collaborative event with the RC at Kebun Baru and we are excited to see so many residents supporting this event on a Sunday morning. We had various stalls with us, selling products ranging from chocolate, mushroom, fashion & accessories to home & lifestyle products and we also had a magic performance as our finale. All of which were well-received by the residents at Ang Mo Kio.
The whole bazaar was a learning experience and an opportunity for us to meet and interact with new people. We had 200 goodie bag giveaway to all our early birds and lots of residents and even the RC committee members approached us for our events planning services. Currently we’re already planning more exciting events and updates here for you, so stay tuned.
